Heeluxe Fit Assistant

Heeluxe measures the inside of running shoes: seven pressure zones, per size, on a lab rig. Five years of it. None of it reached a shopper on the page where they buy.

The data

What the lab actually has

Hundreds of running models across dozens of brands. Seven pressure zones per size: inner and outer heel, instep, both balls of the foot, big toe, pinky toe. Plus cushioning on a drop rig and a comfort composite on a smaller set.

Illustrative result · shoe

Example scenario
Current product: Ravenwood Sprintline. Priority: Pinky toe pain.
Example to compare
Osprey Lane Nimbus, Fictional comparison example
Pinky contact pressure
2.8 psi
Forefoot contact pressure
5.9 psi
Sole compression
8.4 mm

This example has the lowest pinky contact pressure in the sample table. That describes the synthetic fixture result, not your toe-box fit or pain relief. Check length, width and comfort in person.

What these examples can tell you

Synthetic footwear example v1. No physical tests performed.

Example conditions: Example setup: same size, foot form, sock, lacing tension and 23°C room; three fictional samples per model. Pressure values are upper contact readings. Compression and stack use separate heel fixtures.

No individual fit, heel movement, pain outcome or durability data. No sample variation is modeled, so small differences cannot establish significance.

These sources explain measurement methods. They do not validate the fictional products or readings shown here.

Metric definitions
Heel contact pressure (psi)
Example setup: mean upper-to-fixture contact pressure at this region on the same instrumented foot form, size and lacing tension. Not plantar pressure, anatomical width, pain relief or heel movement.
Instep contact pressure (psi)
Example setup: mean upper-to-fixture contact pressure at this region on the same instrumented foot form, size and lacing tension. Not plantar pressure, anatomical width, pain relief or heel movement.
Forefoot contact pressure (psi)
Example setup: mean upper-to-fixture contact pressure at this region on the same instrumented foot form, size and lacing tension. Not plantar pressure, anatomical width, pain relief or heel movement.
Big-toe contact pressure (psi)
Example setup: mean upper-to-fixture contact pressure at this region on the same instrumented foot form, size and lacing tension. Not plantar pressure, anatomical width, pain relief or heel movement.
Pinky contact pressure (psi)
Example setup: mean upper-to-fixture contact pressure at this region on the same instrumented foot form, size and lacing tension. Not plantar pressure, anatomical width, pain relief or heel movement.
Sole compression (mm)
Example setup: heel displacement under a 1,000 N static load after 10 seconds. Not energy absorption or retention after repeated loading.
Heel stack (mm)
Example setup: unloaded outsole-to-footbed thickness at heel center, same shoe size. Height alone does not establish comfort or cushioning quality.

What shipped

  1. 01

A guided intake: favorite shoe, model, size. Three taps, no survey.

  2. 02

A verdict card with the size to order and why, in plain words.

  3. 03

The FitGalaxie foot, pressure-mapped per zone, with hover on desktop and chips on a phone.

  4. 04

Chat that stays on fit. Off-topic gets one sentence back. An unmeasured shoe says so instead of guessing.

  5. 05

Thirty-day memory across product pages, in a first-party cookie, with a consent gate.

  6. 06

Retailer theming from one row: fonts, colors, allowed origins, and a key per store.

02The problem

The shape of it, in this brand.

You bought the rig. You ran every product through it. You built the database nobody else has. Then it goes out as a PDF and a top-ten list, and the depth never gets used. Your clients can't compare across everything you've measured. Your audience can't tell which one is theirs. The data already knows. It just has no way to say it.
